New Summit Machines
Summit is excited to announce the addition of several new models to our Machine Tool Line-Up.
The Summit HB-800A CNC Horizontal Mill is a heavy duty work horse designed for machining medium to large size workpieces with a cube of up to 48”. The HB-800A incorporates a rotary table to allow 4 sided machining in a single set up. The HB-800A is also equipped with a 60 tool Automatic Tool Changer with a tool-to-tool time of 13 seconds. The machine is controlled by a Fanuc 0i MD CNC control and incorporates Fanuc axis drives and motors as well as a Fanuc 15 KW (20HP) main spindle motor giving the HB-800A the power needed for heavy work loads.
The Summit HBMC 110-20T is a state of the art CNC Horizontal Boring Mill that is designed with features that will allow you to machine all types of workpieces with a cube of up to 70” and a part weight of up to 11,000 lbs. The HBMC 110-20T is a “T Type” design that incorporates a sliding column and a moveable spindle so the machine can perform the roughest hogging operations to the finest drilling operations in a single set-up. The HBMC 110-20T utilizes Heidenhain electronic digital scale feedback on all of the linear axis and a Heidenhain rotary encoder on the rotary table. The use of the Heidenhain scales provides the utmost in precision and accuracy. The HBMC 110-20T is also equipped with a 60 tool Automatic Tool Changer with a tool-to-tool time of 13 seconds. The machine is controlled by a Fanuc 0i MD CNC control and incorporates Fanuc axis drives and motors as well as a Fanuc 22 KW (30HP)main spindle motor giving the HBMC 110-20T the power needed for heavy workloads.
The Summit #5 Series, Vertical and Vertical/Horizontal Bed Mills, adds an exciting new dimension to our line of manual and CNC Mills. The #5 Series heavy construction and innovative design provide extreme rigidity allowing high production and superior accuracy. The large working surface(19.6” x 86.6”) and extended travels (23.6” x 59”) coupled with a 15 HP spindle allow roughing and fine machining on the largest work-pieces. With the addition of the horizontal spindle you have even greater flexibility.
